Dokumentasi HW UMS
Hizbul Wathan Kafilah Penuntun Moh Djazman Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta dalam rangka mendukung Hari Pandu Dunia menggelar diskusi pandu dengan tema "Mengenal Lebih Dekat Bapak Pandu Dunia". Diskusi dilakukan berdasarkan pilihan di aula exbaa dan berani melalui google meet.
Pemateri dari kegiatan ini adalah Rakanda M. Al Fatich DSN yang merupakan Ketua Kafilah Putra.
Baden Powel lahir di London, 22 Februari 1857. Usia 19 tahun ia menamatkan sekolah dan kemudian masuk dinas militer atas bantuan oleh pamannya kolonel Henry Smyth. Tahun 1901 BP kembali ke tanahnya dan sambut besar-besaran sebagai pahlawan. Pada 1910 Ia meletakkan jabatannya di dinas kemiliteran dengan pangkat terakhir letnan jenderal. Baden Powell disebut impeesa, serigala yang tidak tidur (Serigala yang tidak pernah tidur.

Ada lima bebatuan yang akan ditemui dalam perjalanan hidup yakni, kuda (berjudi), minuman keras, wanita (pasangan), pertemuan dan pembual dan tidak beragama.
Padvinder Muhammadiyah didirikan pada 1912. Padvinder berasal dari bahasa Belanda yang berarti pandu. Jadi, bisa dimaknai juga sebagai gerakan kepanduan yang bergerak di Muhammadiyah.
KH. Ahmad Dahlan tertarik pada sistem pendidikan kepanduan karena menggunakan metode yang menarik, menyenangkan dan menantang dalam membentuk watak generasi muda.
"Menariknya, ikut HW akan mendapat ilmu, manfaat mengikuti HW yaitu memiliki rohani dan jasmani sehat, memiliki jiwa-jiwa Al-Islam, dan membangkitkan semangat berMuhammadiyah", ujar Rakanda Fatich
Secara tidak langsung HW menjadi bentuk pengabdian seorang pandu kepada Allah. Tak hanya itu, yang menjadi mengasyikkan gerakan tersebut juga menyatu dengan alam karena ingin melakukan jelajah alam sekitar.
